Five Happy Things : November 2016

Before December reveals it’s busyness it’s time to reflect on the last month. November has been a pretty quiet month to be honest. No major ragers, no late night dancing instead it’s been evenings snuggled up in blankets watching television which has been rather lovely.

Five happy things I’ve taken from November include:

  • I’ve finished my Christmas shopping! Yup, already, I’m not quite sure how I’ve done it but I have. Aside from a few little bit’s I’m all sorted and I have ordered the most lovely wrapping paper from Paperchase! I’ve still to write Christmas cards but I won’t be putting any decorations up until two weeks before the big day!
  • Mummy time, I spent an afternoon with my mum, chatting and doing a bit of shopping. Having some good old mum and daughter time, we went for lunch at Sheffield’s Moor Market to a Nepalese place called Hungry Buddha. It was simply awesome and extremely cheap! We paid £5 for a huge thali, which consisted of chickpea, goat, chicken and potato curry’s, rice, dhal and chutney. It was awesome, just like my grandma used to make.
  • Gary and I also found a weekend to hangout too. It’s been a busy couple of months for us, with work and those things life throws at you. We managed to make time and go out for food at the re-opened Devonshire Cat. It was lovely to just sit, eat, drink and chat instead of getting home from work, eat, sleep and repeat. Quality time spent with loved ones is always awesome, precious moments.
  • Me time, I’ve just had a week off work and it was well needed. I’ve got my head in a head in a good space and have had plenty of R&R (as well as Christmas shopping!). I also changed my hair colour, gone is the platinum blonde I’m now a shade of ginger or more copper, so I’m still getting used to it! I’ve also caught up with Gilmore Girls revisited, rewatched most of Spooks as well as a few feel good films like Legally Blonde and Clueless. It’s been rather lovely, and no I don’t really want to go back to work 😉

Now November is wrapped up and December is started to establish it’s self on us, I shall go forth with very few plans for it and see what it all brings!

Hope you have a good one x
